Coaching Requirements & Resources

Our Commitment

SJEAYSC is committed to fostering a fun and safe environment for our youth. Safety and awareness are our primary concerns. To that point, our club also falls under the guidelines set forth by the Nebraska Youth Soccer League (NYSL) and the Archdiocese of Omaha. These institutions help govern our efforts to keep all players and team members safe.

Player's Health

NYSL leverages the Player's Health portal to manage all NYSL coaching requirements. Player's Health invitations will be initiated upon registering as a volunteer during the player registration process.

Recommended Training

U.S. learning management system designed to house all U.S. Soccer educational programs. Starting with coaching and referee programs, sign-up for a free account and you can take part in online courses, browse for in-person courses in your area, and track your U.S. Soccer licenses and other certifications.

SJEAYSC recommends that all coaches complete the free INTRODUCTION TO GRASSROOTS COACHING course. Please contact our club president if you are interested in completing any of the paid Grassroots courses for 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11

Coaching Resources

Field Practice Schedule

Game field reservations for practices are available pending field conditions and game conflicts. Reservations are subject to participation with our seasonal field cleanup efforts and are on a first come first serve basis. Our U12 and U14 teams consume a considerable amount of space. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

Game Rosters

Coaches will need to access Sports Affinity to obtain official team rosters to present to referees ahead of games. You should carry two printed copies of your roster to all games. In most cases, referees will accept a digital review by way of the coach's cell phone.
